Institute of Astronomy with the National Astronomical Observatory - Rozhen, Bulgaria, and the Society of Innovative Teachers in Bulgaria organize an International Youth Astronomical Summer School. Students from last classes who are interested in astronomy will have the opportunity to participate in observations of astronomical objects, will listen to interesting lectures and will make discussions in the National Astronomical Observatory- Rozhen.
The summer school will take part from 19 July 2010 until 28 July 2010
in the National Astronomical Observatory in Rozhen, Bulgaria.
To participate in the summer school one should fill in the registration form.
Teachers and their students who would like to participate in the International Summer Astroschools
should fill in the registration form before 1 March 2010.
Participants:Teams of teachers with up to 4 students in each group or amateur astronomers
can participate in the summer school.
Topics of observation: Sun observations, Planet observations, Comet and Asteroid observations, Deep Sky objects,
Variable stars , Extrasolar planets.
Fee for participation: 480 Euro. In the sum are included: travel form Airport Sofia to the Observatory and to the Observatory for observations sessions, accommodation in hotel Orlovetz***** in Pamporovo, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, night breakfasts; observational time for 60 cm Telescope and 70 cm Shmidttelescope; visit to the Perperikon - the ancient Thracians citadel; the excursion and visit to the Smolyan Planetarium; rucksack (sky poster, flashlight, observational maps, observational notebook, a pen , a star map).
The fee should be sent before 15th Martch 2010.
